Island is located approximately 120km north of Malé International Airport.
The island provides a total area of 60.528 Hectares. In view of the size of the island, the island is designed to be developed in two phases.
First One is referred to as East Wing. This wing is designed for 200 rooms resort in a four star plus resort with full supporting facilities.
The “V” is approximately four kilometers long from tip to tip and 800 meters at its widest point.
A flat coral island, it is landscaped with lush tropical gardens, while the coastal area features long stretches of beach. The beach length is approximately 7.7 km long.
Description
A well-preserved lagoon and reefs surround the island. The lagoon supports a large population of diverse fish, and the surrounding reef hosts a diverse collection of marine life. Importantly the resort has an enclave large lagoon which is a breeding ground for sharks and sting rays and the entire lagoon is environmentally protected and the resort will collaborate with a research facilities/ university to conduct research on behaviour of sharks, sting rays on their breeding.
Owing to its distance from Malé, access to and from the international airport is by seaplane. The journey is approximately 40 minutes. Hence, the resort will rely on the operating schedule of the seaplane services. The resort will execute a long-term contract with one of the seaplane operators in Maldives.
